This photograph is of a women at the San Fransisco 49ers game. This women is a sports photographer who attends games to capture great moments in sport games. This photo effects me because as an athlete I love to see those photographers on the side lines waiting to capture a wonderful moment from you and your teammates. As a student these pictures motivated me to keep playing hard and it influences others to play to their best potential too. Not only does it help motivated other athletes as well but these photographs help visualize the reports of the game to those fans who are not able to attend the game.
I do believe photographs can changes the world. As mentioned before in previous modules, grate photographers will put themselves into danger so that they can get a great shot that can change history. There are so many events that have happened in the world and I don’t believe later generations would have learned from those times if it was not for photographs and journals. Photographs can hold so many emotions and they can be extremely powerful. According to
Jonathan Klein in his ted talk, images can change peoples reactions and it’s this reactions that change the world ( 0:25).With that being said, I do truly believe photographs can change the world in many ways. Without this picture there would be no proof that the holocaust was real besides from the people who actually lived it. According to
Professor Nordell if a tree falls in the woods, and three was no picture taken of it, did that tree really fall (0:34)? Not only do photographs hold meaning behind them but they can also hold a wide variety of evidence in court cases, which could potentially be extremely helpful in the long run. Later in
Professor Nordell’s video, he expressed that sometimes images are taken that could have great potential to it but may not be allowed by government to be published(1:36). However even though the public eye may not be able to see those image, court and officials can. According to the
Photograph of Boris Yethin Dancing they asked a photographer if they know right off the bat if they have captured a magnificent image. They responded with it depends. Sometimes they know when it was a perfect capture and then sometimes they are unaware of some little things in the images that they may have not seen that may make the picture perfect or ruin the image (4:03). With that being said, I do believe images can change the world because humans have emotions and so do photographs.
