 1) Why do photographers go to events to take pictures or videos of the current event?

According to Why Study History video by the pursuit of history, history is the study of behaviors and daily lives of individuals that make an impact in the world (2:00). The video expressed someone who creates change is creating history (1.36). When it comes to photojournalism, photographers have to love what they are doing so that they don’t lose interest or get hurt according to Jason Henske’s video (1:44). So they have to have an interest in exploring possibly dangerous places for their media. Photojournalism keeps the world informed on current events as they are happening ( Why study History second video, 1:05). Sometimes it can be crucially brutal for the photographers to be there, like the AP photographer who was brutally assaulted at the pro- Trump mob. But it is their job to go to these events to capture moments like these so that in the future we can look back and hopefully improve and learn form these situations.

2) Why is it important to have photojournalist in our news today? 

It is important to ha photojournalist in our news today because like professor said it in his video of What is Photojournalism, he expressed that they are unbiased, they are ready for action, they are braves (1:53). The key aspects of photojournalist being a part of our Dailey news is they have a solid form of ethics, and they are fair, not only they know what news needs to be covered for the viewers to be engaged (2:19).  Good photographers are at the event bright and early so that they don't miss a thing. They do this because they need to capture everything that goes on so that the journalist can report the news behind the pictures.

This photo is of the beautiful sunset on Saturday September 16th at approximately 6:55pm. This photo captures a beautiful night in Springfield mass after a full week of rain and thunderstorms form the hurricane that was heading in the northwestern Area. This is a picture of Photogernalism because again it captures a time in history of what could’ve been a historical event of a hurricane.  

This photo is not consisdered photojernalism in my eyes beause it is not expressing much feeling or story behind the photo. It is a photo I took last night making my dinner as a college student living in her owwn apartment. To me this photo may have a lot of meaning behind it but to the veiwers they may see this as nothing. As proffeor said in his video, a good photographer needs to find news that is interesting and will attract veiwers to read and understand a certain event in time. This photo is not one of them. Overall photogernalism is a really interesting topic to me and I love doing all sorts of research on learning more about it. I enjoy seeing behind the sense in some of the videos posted in this module. It is fasinating seeing how brave some people are when it comes to going to dangerous event just to take action pictures to document that time. I dont think I would ever beable to do that myself. I am extremely excited to see whatelse I learn this semester from this course.
